China's Top Diplomat Meets UAE President's Special Envoy to Strengthen Bilateral Relations
China's top diplomat Wang Yi meets UAE's special envoy Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak in Beijing to strengthen bilateral ties.


China's top diplomat Wang Yi held a significant meeting in Beijing on Wednesday with Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, who serves as the special envoy of the president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to China. The high-level diplomatic engagement underscored the robust development of bilateral relations and reaffirmed a shared commitment to further advancing their comprehensive partnership.
During discussions, Wang Yi—who is a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee as well as director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs—highlighted the steadily growing momentum in China-UAE ties. He credited much of this progress to the strategic leadership demonstrated by both nations' heads of state and expressed China's readiness to deepen cooperation across a wide range of sectors.
Wang emphasized that China is prepared to strengthen mutual support with the UAE on core interests and sensitive issues. He added that expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, maintaining close coordination on pressing international and regional matters, and promoting the in-depth development of the comprehensive strategic partnership will remain at the forefront of the China-UAE agenda.
For his part, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak conveyed the UAE’s desire to bolster high-level exchanges with China, reiterating the importance of the comprehensive strategic partnership. He noted the UAE’s adherence to the one-China principle and pledged to uphold independence and autonomy while promoting steadfast cooperation with China.
Both sides voiced confidence in the future of bilateral ties, with officials expecting strengthened collaboration to contribute positively to stability and prosperity not only in their respective regions but also on the global stage.
