Florida Man Injured in Violent SUV Road Rage Attack, Police Report

A heated road rage incident in Florida escalated into violence and resulted in three individuals facing criminal charges, authorities report. The event unfolded at approximately 3:20 p.m. on Monday as tensions flared between the drivers of a Jeep Compass and a Buick sedan near a parking lot in Bradenton.

According to police, the confrontation began when the driver of the Jeep, identified as Raesean Poole, was attempting to turn left out of a parking lot. At that moment, the Buick sedan, driven by Anthony Williams, made a left turn into the lot, cutting in front of Poole’s vehicle. After parking, Williams exited his car alongside a teenage passenger, while Poole reversed and approached him to question the lack of a turn signal. The situation quickly deteriorated as both parties exchanged words, with Poole later claiming that Williams displayed a firearm during the encounter.

Footage from the scene shows the argument intensifying, with Poole attempting to drive away multiple times but repeatedly stopping to continue the dispute. Police described a "final confrontation" in which Poole accelerated his Jeep toward Williams, colliding with a stop sign and a tree before ultimately striking Williams in the leg. Despite the chaos, Williams did not suffer serious injuries.

The conflict took another dangerous turn when the 16-year-old passenger in the Buick, Manuel Villatoro, retrieved a gun and fired shots into Poole’s vehicle. Police responded promptly and had all three individuals detained shortly after the shooting.

As of Tuesday, Poole, age 33, has been charged with aggravated battery with a motor vehicle. Villatoro faces charges of aggravated assault with a firearm for his role in the shooting. Williams, 20, has not yet been formally charged, though authorities note that charges are still pending against him as the investigation continues.

Law enforcement officials have emphasized that the case remains under active investigation, and additional details may emerge as authorities review evidence and statements gathered from the chaotic incident.
