Kazakh Launch Ceremony Celebrates Publication of Xi Jinping's Governance Books in Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan hosts inaugural launch of Xi Jinping's governance books in Kazakh editions, signaling strengthened bilateral ties.
The city of Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, played host on Thursday to the launch ceremony for the Kazakh editions of Volumes I through IV of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China. This event marks a significant milestone in the deepening cultural and political ties between China and Kazakhstan, reflecting the enduring partnership and mutual understanding between the two neighboring countries.
During the ceremony, Kazakhstan's Minister of Culture and Information, Aida Balayeva, highlighted the trustworthy strategic relationship that exists between the two nations. She emphasized that the high level of personal rapport and mutual trust between the leaders of China and Kazakhstan has provided powerful momentum to further strengthen bilateral relations. In her remarks, Balayeva pointed out the richness and profundity of the books' content, describing them as a valuable resource for Kazakh readers seeking to deepen their understanding of China's modern development and governance philosophy.
Those in attendance described Xi Jinping: The Governance of China as a seminal work that encapsulates President Xi’s comprehensive thinking on issues of national and global governance. Participants referred to the book as a “window of ideas” for the international community, offering insights into China’s political strategies, reform agenda, and views on global cooperation. The presence of these volumes in the Kazakh language is expected to promote greater knowledge exchange and foster positive dialogue between the two nations.
Event organizers expressed hope that by engaging with the thoughts and experiences contained in the book, Kazakh readers from all walks of life will be able to glean valuable lessons and inspiration as they seek to explore development paths tailored to their country’s unique circumstances. The availability of the text in Kazakh is seen as an opportunity for broad sectors across society—including policymakers, academics, and business leaders—to benefit from China’s experiences and governance concepts.
The ceremony attracted about 300 attendees, including representatives from political parties, media organizations, think tanks, and universities from both China and Kazakhstan. The translation and publication of the Kazakh editions were a collaborative effort between China’s Ethnic Publishing House and Kazakhstan’s Foliant Publishing House, underscoring the spirit of cultural cooperation. Remarkably, the book has now been translated and published in 42 languages worldwide, further attesting to its wide-reaching influence and global significance.
