Kazakhstan hosts launch ceremony for Kazakh editions of Xi Jinping's governance books, highlighting strengthened diplomatic ties.

The official launch ceremony for the Kazakh-language editions of Volumes I through IV of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China took place on Thursday in Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan. The event marked a significant milestone in the strengthening of cultural and intellectual ties between China and Kazakhstan, drawing wide attention from both countries' political, academic, and media circles.
During the ceremony, Kazakhstan's Minister of Culture and Information, Aida Balayeva, highlighted the enduring partnership between Kazakhstan and China. She emphasized that China remains a reliable and strategic partner for Kazakhstan, with the strong mutual trust and close relationship between the two nations' leaders driving new energy into their bilateral cooperation. Balayeva praised the published volumes as comprehensive works, stating they are rich in content, profound in thought, and highly relevant in practical terms.
Balayeva added that these books provide an invaluable resource for Kazakh readers to enhance their understanding of China’s development philosophy and governance principles. According to the minister, this knowledge exchange is expected to further foster mutual respect and collaboration between the two neighboring countries.
Event participants described the book series as a seminal work by Chinese President Xi Jinping, offering deep insights into both national and international governance. The books were called a "window of ideas" that enables the global community to better comprehend China's approach to development and global affairs.
Organizers of the ceremony expressed optimism that exposure to this collection will help Kazakh professionals, students, and policymakers across various sectors derive meaningful lessons. Through careful study, they hope local audiences will be inspired to pursue a development path that aligns with Kazakhstan's unique national conditions, leveraging the experiences and philosophies shared in the volumes.
The launch attracted approximately 300 attendees, including representatives from political parties, leading universities, think tanks, and media organizations of both nations. This diverse attendance underscored the broad interest in the ideas contained within Xi Jinping: The Governance of China and the importance of cross-cultural dialogue.
The Kazakh editions were the result of a collaborative translation and publishing effort between China's Ethnic Publishing House and Kazakhstan's Foliant Publishing House. With these new translations, the influential work has now been made accessible in 42 different languages, reflecting its growing international reach and the ongoing demand for insight into China's governance strategies.
