The Legoland Shanghai Resort has officially completed its project handover and is preparing to welcome its very first guests for internal testing and trial operations commencing on May 31. Poised to become the world's largest Legoland theme park, the resort is entering its final phase before the highly anticipated grand opening on July 5.

During this pre-opening period, exclusive groups—such as selected guests and holders of the sought-after “1st-to-Play” annual pass and “1st-to-Stay” hotel packages—will be invited to enjoy early access. These visitors will be among the first to experience themed attractions, unique dining experiences, retail stores, live performances, and the full array of hotel amenities. The trial run is designed to rigorously test all facilities and operational procedures, ensuring a seamless guest experience once doors open to the public.

Among the signature attractions is the world’s first Big Lego Coaster, where thrill-seekers can soar through dynamic landscapes populated by towering Lego Minifigures. Another highlight is the Legoland Observation Tower, which rises to an impressive 60 meters, offering visitors sweeping panoramic views across the expansive resort grounds.

At the heart of the resort lies Miniland, a central feature found in every Legoland but elevated here to new heights. The show, led by Lego master builder “Brick Suit Girl,” invites audiences on a captivating journey through Shanghai’s transformation over the decades—from historic neighborhoods to its present status as a bustling global metropolis.

Another global premiere awaits visitors with the debut of the “Lego Monkie Kid” live show. This multimedia spectacle brings together a cast of 13 professional puppeteers and features a colossal 3.7-meter-tall Bull Demon King puppet.
