China and Pacific Island nations are ushering in a new chapter of cooperation, as leaders from 11 island countries gathered in Xiamen for the Third China-Pacific Island Countries Foreign Ministers' Meeting. This event marks the first in-person summit since 2021, signifying a renewed commitment to face-to-face diplomacy and collaboration. Trade between China and the Pacific Islands has reached an all-time high, now exceeding $6.3 billion, illustrating the expanding economic ties between the two sides.
