According to police, a victim reported on May 26 that they had been sexually assaulted on two separate occasions by their acupuncturist after visiting the Advanced Acupuncture and Herbal Clinic, located near Highway 7 East and Chalmers Road. The alleged incidents have prompted a swift response from investigators in the area.
Following the report, officers arrested Heng Guang Shen, a 57-year-old Richmond Hill resident, on May 28. He has since been charged with two counts of sexual assault. Authorities stressed the seriousness of the allegations and confirmed that an active investigation remains underway.
In an effort to identify potential additional victims, police have released an image of the accused. They are urging anyone who may have information or believes they have had similar experiences at the clinic to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
