Trump to Host Historic Gathering of Thousands of Admin Officials on White House Lawn for Largest Event Ever
President Trump hosts historic gathering of over 3,000 political appointees on White House lawn.

In a historic gathering on the White House lawn Wednesday evening, President Donald Trump is set to host more than 3,000 political appointees from across his administration. This event marks the first time all individuals appointed to roles across every department have been brought together in a single celebration, highlighting the scale and ambition of staffing efforts during the current administration.
Traditionally, similar acknowledgments for political appointees have taken place in separate shifts by department. However, this unique occasion will bring everyone under one tent—literally and figuratively—as the president aims to honor the collective achievements of those who have helped execute his second-term vision. Senior officials emphasized that the attendees were hand-selected by President Trump to fulfill the administration’s policy directives and carry out its "historic mandate."
The evening is expected to be vibrant, with food and entertainment planned for the thousands in attendance. Most members of the Cabinet will join the festivities, underscoring the significance of the event both as a thank you and as a rallying point. President Trump himself is scheduled to address the crowd, commending their service and reiterating the administration’s goals for the coming years.
Sergio Gor, Director of Presidential Personnel, highlighted the rapid pace at which the team has filled roles throughout the federal government. "In just 135 days, we have filled 91% of all political appointments across the U.S. government," he said, calling it "a historic achievement." Gor also praised the caliber of people brought into public service, describing them as a blend of former Fortune 500 executives, technical experts, accomplished business leaders, and dedicated aides—all united in their commitment to advancing the "America First" agenda.
Since President Trump’s inauguration on January 20, the administration has hired over 3,200 appointees, a figure that breaks modern presidential staffing records. Departments such as Defense, Commerce, and Treasury report more than 85% of necessary appointments have been made, while agencies like Health and Human Services, Labor, and Homeland Security are nearing or exceeding 90%. At the Department of Veterans Affairs, staffing is reportedly 100% complete.
Officials noted the swift confirmation process for Trump’s Cabinet, observing that none of the nominees failed on the Senate floor or in committee votes. The administration describes this as a testament to both the qualifications of the candidates and the momentum behind the president’s governing agenda.
As the sun sets over the White House lawn, the event is set to symbolize more than just recognition; it’s a sign of President Trump’s intent to solidify his administration’s legacy through both record-setting hiring and a renewed focus on the priorities that have defined his presidency thus far.
