Trump Vows Zero Tolerance for Boulder Terror Attack as Deportation Efforts Persist

Former President Donald Trump issued a strong condemnation on Monday in response to a violent incident in Boulder, Colorado, where an Egyptian national is alleged to have thrown Molotov cocktails into a crowd of pro-Israel protesters. The attack left eight people with burn injuries and has drawn national attention, igniting new debates over border security and hate crime prosecution.

"Yesterday’s horrific attack in Boulder, Colorado, WILL NOT BE TOLERATED in the United States of America," Trump declared in a post on TRUTH Social. He attributed the suspect's ability to remain in the United States to what he called "Biden’s ridiculous Open Border Policy," insisting the individual "must go out under 'TRUMP' Policy" and that such "Acts of Terrorism will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law." Trump pointed to the incident as another reason for stronger border controls and the immediate removal of those he described as "Illegal, Anti-American Radicals."

The FBI affidavit unsealed Monday identifies the alleged attacker, Mohammed Soliman, as an Egyptian national who overstayed his tourist visa. Authorities say Soliman approached a peaceful demonstration in support of Israeli hostages with improvised incendiary devices, shouting "Free Palestine" before throwing the Molotov cocktails into the crowd. Eight people sustained burns from the explosions, and investigators recovered 14 more unlit devices at the scene.

Further details revealed by the affidavit allege Soliman told investigators he wished to "kill all Zionist people" and expressed no remorse, stating he would "do it again" if given the chance. The affidavit also notes Soliman targeted the Boulder group after discovering their regular gatherings online, spending a year planning the attack while living in Colorado Springs with his family. According to investigators, he delayed carrying out the act until after his daughter graduated.

In the wake of the violence, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt emphasized the administration's commitment to protecting Jewish Americans. "We have seen two horrific cases of antisemitic violence in our country in the last two weeks, and it is unacceptable to this president and this White House," Leavitt stated. She assured the press that "to all Jewish Americans across our great country, this president has your back, and he's not going to allow anyone to take part in violent terrorism." Leavitt noted the FBI is investigating the Boulder incident as a targeted terrorist attack.

The Department of Homeland Security responded to the attack by announcing a revamp of its Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) tip line. DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin criticized previous immigration policies and called the attack a stark reminder of the need for vigilance. "For four years, the Biden Administration allowed millions of unvetted illegal aliens—including terrorists, gang members, and other violent criminals—to pour into our country. Yesterday’s terrorist attack by a suspect illegally in our country, underscores the importance of getting these illegal aliens out of our country," McLaughlin said. She encouraged citizens to report suspicious activity to help remove potential threats from communities.
