Two Men Arrested in B.C. Charged in Mississauga Businessman's Murder
British Columbia men charged with first-degree murder in the daylight slaying of Mississauga businessman Harjeet Singh Dhadda, linked to organized crime and extortion threats.

Two men from British Columbia have been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the fatal daylight shooting of Mississauga businessman Harjeet Singh Dhadda last month. The attack, which occurred just before noon on May 14 at Tranmere Drive and Telford Way, shocked the local business community and raised concerns about organized crime in the region.
Peel Regional Police responded swiftly to the scene near Dixie and Derry roads, where Dhadda was found suffering from critical gunshot wounds. Paramedics rushed the 51-year-old to a nearby hospital, but despite their efforts he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Witnesses stated that multiple suspects fled the scene in a stolen black 2018 Dodge Challenger, which was later recovered by officers as part of the investigation.
The victim, identified by his family as Harjeet Singh Dhadda, operated G&G Trucking Solutions, a transportation safety and insurance consultancy based in Mississauga. The killing prompted an outpouring of grief and calls for justice from the local South Asian business community. Dhadda’s daughter revealed her father had faced extortion attempts originating from India, claiming he had refused to pay a $500,000 demand prior to the shooting. While Peel police have not commented on the alleged extortion link, investigators emphasized that "every avenue" was being rigorously explored.
Following intensive efforts, police tracked down two suspects in Delta, British Columbia. With the support of local law enforcement agencies including the Delta Police Department, Abbotsford Police, Surrey Police, and the RCMP, authorities arrested Aman Aman and Digvijay Digvijay, both 21 years old, on May 28. The men were initially brought before a court in Surrey, B.C., before being extradited to Ontario to face charges in Brampton court related to the first-degree murder of Dhadda.
Police Chief Nishan Duraiappah praised the investigative team for its dedication, stating, “This arrest is a testament to the unwavering perseverance and diligence of our homicide investigators. The strong collaboration with policing partners allows this family to take the next step toward justice for the loss of their loved one." He added that the swift resolution "sends a clear message — no matter how far you run, our teams will find you.”
The case remains under active investigation, and authorities are urging anyone with additional information to come forward and assist detectives as they piece together the full circumstances surrounding the killing. Family, friends, and members of the Mississauga business community continue to mourn the loss of Harjeet Singh Dhadda, as the prosecution prepares for what is likely to be a closely watched legal process in the coming months.
