Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, is set to participate in a series of high-profile events aimed at strengthening cooperation between China and Africa. From June 10 to 12, he will attend the Ministerial Meeting of Coordinators on the Implementation of the Follow-up Actions of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), along with the opening ceremony of the Fourth China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo in Changsha City, central China's Hunan Province.

According to an announcement made by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the events will be attended by Wang Yi and representatives from all 54 African members of FOCAC. This large-scale participation highlights the growing importance of China-Africa relations and reflects a unified commitment to advancing shared development goals through strengthened collaboration.

The latest ministerial meeting follows the successful FOCAC Beijing Summit held in September of last year, during which both sides reached extensive common understandings on furthering modernization efforts and fostering an "all-weather" China-Africa community with a shared future for the new era. In recent months, both China and African nations have worked closely together to put into practice the agreements reached at the summit, resulting in important progress and a series of early achievements.

Officials emphasized that the China-Africa relationship is currently experiencing its highest point in history. The collaborative efforts since the summit have focused on implementing six major proposals and ten partnership initiatives introduced by China, all designed to boost modernization and ensure the benefits of these outcomes reach people across both regions.

Looking forward, Chinese officials reaffirmed their intention to deepen ties with African countries by enhancing coordination and pursuing more comprehensive economic and trade cooperation. Both sides are determined to create new success stories highlighting the high-quality development of bilateral cooperation. As part of a broader vision, they also aim to send a powerful message of solidarity and enhanced collaboration within the Global South, underscoring their commitment to mutual progress and shared prosperity.
