“I love Kashgar. I think more people should visit. My favorite foods have been the breads—the ‘nang’ breads—and also the noodles. They’re known for their wheat noodles here, so I recommend trying dishes of noodles. And I would love to come and visit again, and I think other people should visit again,” remarked Arlinda, a visitor from Albania who praised the region’s hospitality and distinct cuisine.
The Xinjiang region has made significant strides toward increasing accessibility for foreign travelers. New visa-free policies and expanded air routes have made it easier than ever for tourists to discover the wonders of this vast region. Urumqi, the regional capital, now boasts direct connections to 23 regions in 20 countries—including Central Asian neighbors Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan—across 26 international flight routes. “This is my second trip to China. Everything is convenient, and the people are welcoming. And I also love the amazing food here. If I have any problem during my trip, it can be resolved quickly,” shared Sullidin, a tourist from Azerbaijan, emphasizing the ease of travel and warm reception he encountered throughout his journey.
